About Cowgirl Clippings

Hey there!   I’m Chelsea…

I started this blog a few years ago with visions of a group effort.  It began that way, but eventually everyone petered out got busy and decided to contribute once in awhile rather than write full time.  So here I am- blogging, out-letting, documenting, sharing about our wild-and-wool-y-western life.  My rancher-of-a-husband is Buck (real name) and you can see us with our three kids (who are now 8, 6 & 3) pictured above.

We live in Northeast Oregon in one of the most beautiful places on the planet.  I’m originally from the great and snowy part of Idaho where I grew up doing 4-H, playing sports, competing in rodeo, and skiing!  Buck swept me off my feet about 11 years ago while I was in the middle of nursing school.  We got married, I finished two more years of school, then we came back to the county Buck grew up in.  We manage a remote cattle ranch in the canyons of the Grand Ronde River.  In addition to the cattle operation here on the ranch, we also have a cow-calf herd of our own.

Besides our livestock life,  when I can schedule a convenient (ha!) time to drive to town, I work at our rural hospital where I really love to help women through the throes of childbirth.  I like coffee (with more cream and sugar than is actually necessary), salted caramel truffles, Beth Moore Bible studies, and fluffy down comforters.  In my “free time” (ha!) I like to run, ride, read (Anne of Green Gables sits proudly at the top of my list), cook, and take hot baths.  But most of all, I’m super crazy about my husband and kids.

I’m the “full time” blogger here at Cowgirl Clippings, but scattered throughout the four categories that make up CC you’ll find posts from some of the original contributors.

Thanks for stopping by.

Blessings to you!
