The Almighty’s Symphony

Posted by Donna for Aspen~

Have you ever walked outside early, early in the morning with light enough just to see your steps and a growing glow on the eastern horizon?

CC10

Have you ever been privy to God’s creatures call to worship?

The quail with their plaintive plea?

C16

The geese with their ebullient honks?

CC4

The owl with his haunting whoo?

CC7

The robins with their cheery chirps?

CC3

The doves with their loud laments?

CC6

The heron with his resounding squawk?

CC5

The killdeer with their incessant imploring?

The ducks with their quirky quacks?

CC8

And the moon plays its last notes.

CC2

And the sun triumphantly rises with a shout and a song.

CC9

It’s another great day for all God’s creatures,
great and small,
to praise the Lord!

Today. Eleven years strong with this guy…

The one trying to convince Beau that horses can indeed swim…

And when the thermometer is well over 100 degrees.  It’s better to be in that water than out here…

I’ll have you know that eleven years ago it wasn’t this hot.  Thankfully.  Wedding dresses, wedding cakes, wedding participants, wedding guests, and wedding festivities are all much more enjoyable when they aren’t melting.

At any rate, in honor of eleven years I’d like to showcase our three favorite “things”  that happened in the last 11 years.  By birth order.

This one… our determined little leader.  With the long blonde curls…

Rider of the grey horse….

Then this one.  Sweet little lover of all living creatures…

Rider of the bay horse…

And finally, this one.  Lovey little stinker.  Thrower of rocks…

And rider of the black horse…

Eleven years has flown by!  And just to put it in perspective, in eleven more years they’ll be 19, 17, and 14.  That’s a little weird.  And I’ll be 43 and Buck’ll be 45.  That’s also weird.

At any rate, Anniversary cheers to the best teammate ever– Buck is a fabulous dad, a heck of a husband, a class act cowboy and a big ol’ blessing in my life.  I’m super thankful.
