Charlotte’s Faith: First Day of School

Faith started pre-school recently. She did well with it. I, on the other hand, not so good. As I walked out the door of the school to leave her for the first day, I thought, “Now, why don’t we home-school any more?!?” It was a fleeting thought. Gone before I reached my trusty transportation. Still it was there, however briefly.
When you ask Faith if she goes to school she answers, “No.” She is very confident in her answer. Sometimes she will tell you that she goes to “speech”, meaning speech therapy which she went to last year at the school, but she is quite sure she does not go to school.

Back to her first day: As I blinked back tears and headed home, I thought, “I’m so thankful this day came.” Not because I want her to be away from me and home, but because there were times when I couldn’t imagine her living long enough to go to school. School’s a pretty amazing place for her to be.

Ecclesiastes 3:1 To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven.

Hooray for Faith! School IS a pretty amazing place for Faith to be, and LIFE is a pretty amazing place for Faith to be too. Good for Faith; good for Charlotte; GOOD for GOD for giving us a taste of every season of life.
