Morning Glory!

Brrrr….

When your bangs are frosty and your nose and ear hairs are frosty, you know it’s cold outside.

I like the “frosted” look of this cow’s bangs.  I like that cows have bangs (umm…forelock? Bangs sounds better; I can relate to bangs, they’re something I’ve always had and something my high forehead can’t live without).  Bangs. Nice touch, God.

Look at those frosty nose hairs.   Better yet, check out the GLORY of that sunshine!

(I see a teaching moment here… see those ears?  This cow was not born with those notches in her ears.  They are called ear notches- a “swallow fork” to be exact.  They are put there when the cows are calves, to make them easily identifiable.)

Brisk, cold, beautiful morning!! I’m just glad I’m not the one with frosty back hair (not that I have back hair… it would just be cold if I did & it was frosty…)

Even the weeds were cold this morning.  The creek thought the air was cold, too.  Look at the steam blocking the sunlight from that poor little weed.

I think the sun is going to warm that weed right up…

I think it’ll melt the snow of those nose hairs, too.

Despite the utter glory of this morning, I think I’m glad I have a warm fireplace and blankets to snuggle under.  No frosty hairs, of any kind, for me please.

  1. Hey Chelsea! those are some awesome pictures. I think the sun in your dialog really makes me think of Christ in our lives. We can have the cold frosty life or the warm sunshiny life with Him.

  2. I love your photos AND your sense of humor. No back hairs for me either… yet! ha!
